Yesterday was National College Decision Day, so …
Honestly, if you didn’t already know that I chose to commit to Texas A&M University in College Station, then you just must not know me very well! Although I am a first-generation Aggie, I am already as spirited as they get!

For real though–how often can I be caught shouting “GIG ‘EM” during the most random moments of my day?
Hint: the answer is A LOT.
But what made me choose this school over any of the other ten colleges that I applied to? Actually, this is one of my favorite stories!
Originally, I had zero interest in attending such a huge school. 68,000 people? No thank you! That number seemed intimidating until I actually immersed myself within the camaraderie of my fellow class of 2022 Aggies. With the help of a myriad of group chats on GroupMe, I have been blessed to meet some of the most amazing people I have ever interacted with in my life.
Joining the Class of 2022 Facebook page was the first step and facilitated my entrance into the series of group chats, which led to my involvement with initiating, planning, and attending meet-ups around the DFW area. A funny meme of me (pictured above) even became the profile picture for the DFW group chat!
You’ll hear it a ton throughout the entirety of your college process: you will end up where you are meant to be. I definitely struggled to believe this at first, but now that my high school graduation date is steadily looming nearer and nearer, I find myself happier to be an Aggie with every passing day. I am truly where I was meant to be.
Gigs, my dudes. I cannot WAIT to finally be able to call Cstat (College Station) my new home this coming fall! I will be majoring in business management at the Mays Business School.
Thanks, gigs, and God bless!
And shoutout to the extraordinary Kylee Swisher Photography for these beautiful images, per usual.
